Jay Taylor

Jay Taylor was born and raised in the South Valley of Albuquerque New Mexico. After finishing high school in 1967 Jay joined the Marine Corps where he eventually became a Scout Sniper in the 7th Marine Regiment. Shortly after returning home Jay traveled to Alaska where he met his wife Paulette. Both of their sons Lee and Bobby were born in Alaska. In 1988 Jay and Paulette relocated to Portland Ore. Jay worked for Hoffman Construction as a project superintendent and over the next few years he worked in California, Washington and Oregon before moving back to Albuquerque in 1993. In 2008 Jay wrote Point of Aim Point of Impact to tell his story about his time as a scout sniper in Vietnam. In 2010 Jay retired, and in 2011 he returned to Vietnam with his wife and mother for a visit. Jay currently resides in Albuquerque where he and Paulette raise thorough bred race horses.
