Andrew Ives

As a reader, I am mainly interested in Victorian classics, usually those by Dickens, Verne, H.G. Wells, RLS, Kipling. I especially enjoy scientific stories from this era that contain predictions for the future, ideally containing some kind of moral message or educational value. I write with similar aims, so I tend to set my stories about 20 years into the future (as I did with Psinapse which I wrote in the late 1980s and set some time around 2015.) I tend also to be as technical and educational as possible without making my books read like a workshop manual, and contain some kind of moral message without getting preachy, throwing in a few surprises along the way. My aim is simply to write something that readers will enjoy and will hopefully still enjoy 100 years from now.

Almost everything I read is on my Kindle, so anything I write will be almost instantly available in Kindle format.
