Dee lives in the South of England in a home otherwise filled with males - husband, boys and pets - she writes to escape the testosterone.

Dee writes using the name D.J. Kirkby and Dee Kirkby. She is the author of Without Alice, My Dream of You, Realand - book one of the Portal Series, Raffie Island - book two of The Portal Series, Queendom - book three of the Portal Series (out Dec 2013), Special Deliveries: Life Changing Moments and My Mini Midwife (out Feb 2014).
