David Taransaud is a UKCP reg. psychotherapeutic counsellor, consultant, author, and trainer with over 20 years of experience working with challenging youth.
He is the author of:
- You Think I’m Evil: Practical strategies for working with aggressive and rebellious adolescents.
- I, Monster: Positive ways of working with challenging teens through understanding the adolescent within us.
- Sad Belly: Helping children of depressed parents build resilience (Winner of the 2025 International Impact Book Awards in the Parenting category).
- The Rage for Life: A powerful psycho-educational graphic novel designed for therapists, counsellors, and other educational and social care professionals working with young people who have experienced abuse or witnessed domestic violence.
David also works as a foreign consultant in Karachi (Pakistan) and travelled to Kitgum (Uganda) where he set up an Art Therapy service in an orphanage for former child soldiers and young people affected by conflict and trauma.
His travel journal, ‘Kitgum’s Orphans; Invisible Wounds’ was entered in the Social Impact Media Awards (SIMA 2013). An international documentary and educational impact media award honouring members in the independent film and global humanitarian industry.
