Chris Amaris

Chris Amaris, MCITP, MCTS, CISSP/ISSAP, CHS III, is the Chief Technology Officer and cofounder of Convergent Computing. He has more than 36 years’ experience consulting for Fortune 500 companies, leading companies in the technology selection, architecture, design, and deployment of complex enterprise and cloud integration projects.

Chris specializes in leveraging Microsoft Azure, Windows 2019, and System Center to achieve a high degree of security, on-premise to cloud integration, stretched cloud data centers, automation and self-service, reducing the level of risk, effort and time-to-market for organizations while providing high levels of security and availability.

Azure technical capabilities include Azure network design, on-premise integration, application migration from on-premise to Azure, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. Deployment automation with Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, PowerShell, Microsoft Power Apps, and Visual Studio. Monitoring with Azure Management and System Center Suite. Self-service request and deployment automation with portals. Security and compliance with auditing, encryption at rest and in transit, key management, and reporting. Backup and site recovery for business continuity and disaster recovery. Chris has extensive experience with Azure data analytics including Machine Learning, R, Python, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Lake Analytics, Azure Data Factory, U-SQL, Power BI, and Azure functions (serverless computing).
