Marc Valleur

Marc Valleur is a French psychiatrist, specializing in drug addiction and addiction.

He was born in 1948 in Tlemcen, Algeria. Doctor of medicine, he was an intern at the Marmottan hospital from 1974, then assistant in 1981.

Chief physician at Marmottan Hospital from 1999 to 2015, where he succeeded Claude Olievenstein, he is the author of numerous books and articles on drug addiction and addiction.

In particular, he developed the notion of ordalic behavior, and contributed to the broadening of the notion of addiction, including addictions without substance, such as pathological gambling, addiction to network games, sexual addictions.

He was president of the National Association of Intervening in Drug Addiction, member of the narcotics commission, of the COJER (Committee for responsible gambling) then COJEX (Commission on games under exclusive rights), of the Games Observatory, of the College of ARJEL (Online Gaming Regulatory Authority).
