Florence Pinaud

Asjournalist specializing in medical innovation and science, Florence Pinaud has always reconciled very serious subjects with joyful forays into the youth press. She collaborates in various titles, from the Éphant Junior to the economic daily La Tribune in which she covers the health and pharmaceutical sectors.

Since 2013, Florence Pinaud has been publishing youth documentaries in which she cultivates her insatiable curiosity. They allow her to ask children's questions to renowned scientists, while sharpening her taste for simple explanations of concepts that are sometimes a little complicated.

Her titles often deal with the sciences: with the life that stirs in the infinitely small, with the algorithms that calibrate our existence, or with the transhumanists with their dream of technological eternity. They also deal with environmental subjects and questions around animals. Florence Pinaud collaborates mainly with the Actes Sud Junior editions; with whom she has published ten documentaries. The most famous and translated are "C'est mathématique" (Coup de coeur du Prix d'Alembert 2014) and "La guerre secrète des microbes" (Price "Le Goût des Sciences" 2016 ) and "Les droits des animaux : ça me concerne". She also writes for the Ricochet publishing house and for Nathan with whom she published "Ma vie sous algorithmes" in 2018 (Roberval Prize 2019).
