MY BACKGROUND

I was born and bred in a small town in the North east of France, a breathtaking sight located in a rather poor working-class area in the Vosges Mountains, once the cradle of textile industry. The town of Gerardmer, where I spent most of my early childhood, is a truly beautiful location close to Germany, a place in Lorraine which unfortunately bore the brunt of the First and Second World War.

Even though I attended primary school at an early age I was not any better or any worse than any other pupil in the classroom. I liked going to school but looking back at my teacher’s assessments I happened to be somewhat boisterous! Despite my inappropriate behavior in the classroom I swore to my mother that I would get a grip and go to university, come what may. After much struggling and much hard work I eventually went to university and started reading languages, a four-year teaching during which I also studied English literature. I proved to be particularly keen on American poetry and read most of Emily Dickinson. I proudly graduated with a Master’s degree in English in 1983 before joining the French Air Force for my military service.

I moved to Paris in December 1995 in search of my first real job. In addition to my student’s scholarship I used to work as a backup ancillary caregiver within a geriatric unit in order to afford both my studies and my living expenses. Once In Paris, I realized then that I did not want to become a teacher anymore and decided to apply for a job as a flight attendant with Air France, an idea that came from my best friend. And as always, what was supposed to be transitory turned out to last over 13 odd years! I managed to work part-time soon enough and took advantage of my extra time to set up my own practice as a tarot-reader and psychic single-handedly. It took me virtually 2 years to be able to live off it and to gradually turn my life around. As time went by I began to host little workshops to help tarot-learners decipher their own card draws.

Nowadays I spend some of my spare time writing books on the tarot of Marseille. Even though I have gained significant experience as a tarot-reader over the years I still live a humble life and do enjoy the pleasures of living in such a dazzling and wonderful city as Paris!
