Patricia Rose

Biography

Since writing her first poem at the age of seven, where her teacher thought it so good she read it out at assembly,Patricia has loved writing poetry. This was the beginning of what has turned out to be quite a journey for her. Over the years she has penned songs, musicals, greetings card verses, and a good many poetry books including eight books of inspirational verses in the 'From my Heart to Yours' range published on Amazon Kindle. she has also been a writer for The International Songwriters Association, and more recently has had many of her poems published in on-line magazines.

It was Patricia's love of words that inspired her to write the lyrics, and eventually the music for song-writing where she had a number of songs published and recorded. She also won a Songwriter of the Year award at The American Eagle Awards for Country Music. She then wrote the book and lyrics for a family musical called 'Bella' - this was based on the true story of a famous guide dog who went missing on bonfire night some years ago. It was a great success and raised a good deal of money for the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association. She later went on to write the book version - as opposed to the stage book, of the same name Bella, which was published and did very well. She penned a couple more musicals which were successfully staged. She has also written verses for many greetings card publishers, including the inspirational range Serenity Rose.

However, it is her love of 'poetry to inspire' that she writes with a heartfelt desire to offer comfort and hope to those who might be going through a difficult time in their lives, either suffering the loss of a loved one, going through a divorce, or a depression, or those who just need to feel they are not alone. She believes words that offer comfort can have a healing effect, as does the power of prayer, and can greatly help to ease the heart and bring inner peace to someone who may be struggling, and who needs to know that someone cares.
