Eric Gilli

Born in 1957, Eric Gilli discovered speleology in 1974. He started exploring caves in France and abroad. Discovering the underground world and its mysteries pushed him to become a geologist then a university professor. He is now a karst specialist and teaches at Paris 8 university.

His work concerns underground big chambers, earthquakes in caves, submarine springs.

His books present his cave explorations or his scientific research in many countries.

He was twice laureate at the Rolex Awards for Enterprise for his research on caves.
