Jamshed Akhtar

Jamshed Akhtar is a writer / researcher, born in 1947, in Faizabad, UP, India. He has a degree in Electrical Engineering from AMU (1969), Aligarh, India, and is closely associated with several NGOs in India, dealing with scientific education among Muslims. His primary interest however is the study of Quran since 1985.

In 1996, Akhtar had presented a research based fiction. This book entitled -'The Ultimate Revelations' is probably the first and only Science fiction in the world, with Quran as the central topic. The book was well covered by almost all the major news papers of India and UAE.

His latest non-fiction 'In Search of Our Origins: How Quran Can Help in Scientific Research' is the first book of a series that aim to present revealed knowledge as an alternative source of credible information, which can be utilized as guidance in the modern scientific researches.

Akhtar's objective is to invite scientists, science historians and linguists, for a collective investiation of the data presented from the epistemological studies of the revelations.

In the past, he has presented his researches on revealed knowledge in different workshops and seminars, in India.

In UAE, Akhtar's book 'The Ultimate Revelations' was presented at 'The Book Mall' by Shaikha Azza, daughter of the ruler of Sharjah. He has also appeared on 'Discover Islam' talk shows on Sharjah TV to explain his researches.
