Since his days growing up in the football hotbed of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Jim Lefebvre has always been fascinated with the development of American football and its iconic representations, such as the Green Bay Packers and the University of Notre Dame.
Jim's work as an award-winning journalist, author, speaker and sports historian helps tell the story of early 20th century America through its love affair with football.
Jim's first two books -- Loyal Sons: The Story of The Four Horsemen and Notre Dame's 1924 Champions (2008) and Coach For A Nation The Life and Times of Knute Rockne (2013) were both honored for excellence by the Independent Publisher Book Awards, the IPPYs, the highest honor in small-press publishing.
The father of two Notre Dame graduates, Jim has gone on to become founder and executive director of the Knute Rockne Memorial Society and the Knute Rockne Spirit of Sports Awards. The Rockne Awards have honored Ara Parseghian, Rocky Bleier, Johnny Lujack, Muffet McGraw, Alan Page and Barry Alvarez, among others.
