While he was still a college journalism student, award-winning writer Richard Foster became the first reporter to track down and interview the legendary, reclusive pin-up model Bettie Page. His in-depth 1997 biography, “The Real Bettie Page,” was adapted into the 2006 HBO Films movie “The Notorious Bettie Page” starring Gretchen Mol. In the decades since, Foster has written for numerous publications, including Style Weekly magazine. His writing ranges from celebrity profiles to in-depth investigative reporting. In 2018, Foster hosted the true-crime podcast series “Southern Nightmare: The Hunt for the South Side Strangler,” the story of the serial killer who became the first murderer in U.S. history captured using DNA evidence. Foster, who has two adult sons, lives in Richmond, Virginia, with his wife and some very needy cats.
