Named a motivational Teacher of The Year by the Westchester Black Scholars, New York. Andrene is an in-demand speaker, workshop facilitator, Common Core expert and curriculum designer for K-12 through undergraduate learning. Bonner is the founder and president of Literacy Gateway Institute, an educational solution business where she teaches parents to become co-teachers. She is the award winning author of "No Life In Olympic Gardens" and "Long Walk to Cherry Gardens," the first two in the Roderick Brissett Series about a young abandoned boy’s search for identity and education. "From A Teacher to Parents: Stories to Heal Your Life So You Can Help Your Child Succeed" and "I Got This: Affirmations for Teens to Relieve Stress and Create an Awesome School Year" are the first two in the series, "From A Teacher." Her full-length musical, Ruby, teaches high schoolers about the Harlem Renaissance and "Room 180: The Forgotten Students of Outerbrook High, a dramatic two act play examines the crisis in black education. Her poetry has been featured in several anthologies, including, The Caribbean Writer and California State University Northridge’s Kapu Sens. Her fiction and non-fiction books have garnered reviews in The Jamaica Gleaner, Kaieteur News, on Amazon, and Geoffrey Philp’s Blogspot. She is a contributing poet to the anthology, 100 + Voices For Ms. Lou," celebrating the renowned Jamaican journalist, folklorist and poet, Dr. Louise Bennett Coverley.
