Amy Schimler

Amy Schimler-Safford is an illustrator and designer. You may have seen her work on children's clothing, fabrics, wall art, and in children's books. "Why is the Sky Blue?", illustrated by Amy, was chosen in 2010 by Booktime.org along with a book by Eric Carle to be included in book bags which are distributed to first year students in the UK. Amy's work is inspired by the child that lives within all of us. Color, texture, and pattern inform her mixed media work. Her illustrated children's books include - “Inky’s Amazing Escape”, “Hidden City”, "Ten Friendly Fireflies", "What Do You See?", "Splish Splash", "Why is the Sky Blue?", and "What are Clouds Made of?".
