Joshua James

After writing an article for a local newspaper entitled, "God's Will is Not Always Done," Joshua received quite a bit of rebuke and encouragement. Many considered such a statement to be an attack against their God, while others found the paper to be an answer to the question, "Why does evil exists?" The controversy opened up opportunities for Joshua to teach on the topics of religion and philosophy throughout the publications circulation radius. Many of those who heard him speak had never considered the mingling of logic and religion. Many consider science and philosophy to be outside the realm of religious thought, but Joshua has freed many from this limited view of reality.

Joshua holds a BA and MA in Philosophy and the Philosophy of Religion as well as a Doctor of Ministry. Joshua's philosophical thought pulls from such diverse thinkers as Camus, Sartre, Kierkegaard, Gregory Palamas, Nietzsche, Buber, Socrates, Plato, and many others.

Joshua resides in Iowa with his wife and family. He is currently working on a story of fiction following in the footsteps of other such philosophically driven novels as "The Stranger" and "Nausea."
