Graham Wilson

Hello. Thanks for visiting my 'author's page'.

My career has focused on the application of behavioural science to the world of work, initially through organisation development, the management of change, working climate and cultures, with a particular focus on the development of exceptional self-managing group-based structures.

As my interest in individual development grew, so I trained in psychodynamics and began to contribute to corporate leadership programmes. For the last decade, I have continued to work with leaders - mainly as a confidant - enabling them to identify their own drivers, envisage the future that they would like to achieve, exploring issues along the way, and progressively realising their own and their organisational dreams. Most of my clients could be considered as "people of power". There's more detail on my website: http://www.the-confidant.info

Some people like to describe this as 'executive coaching' - I think that's a bit demeaning, and anyway I did a Google search once on 'executive coach' and they all have 52 seats and are owned by Wallace Arnold.

Instead, I prefer the metaphor that one of my clients came up with once - we were exploring the rather Machiavellian politics of an international business and he said; "If I was Arthur, you would be my modern-day Merlin."

These days, I often find myself supporting leaders as they leave one organisation and look for a new senior executive job. There's more detail of this approach on my dedicated website: http://www.executive-post.info

I am a keen open networker, can be found on many social networking sites, including Linkedin, Ecademy, and Facebook. My twitter id is drgrahamwilson.

Best wishes, Graham.
