Matthew G. Stevens Born: Feb 25 1955 Yale-New Haven Hospital New Haven,Ct.; burst forth after 10 month gestation,off and running.

Raised in bliss and playful early sixties small town,then, Branford,Ct.

Knocked, reluctantly into consciousness by Cuban Crisis sirens and JFK assassination.

Observer of the national identity and family crisis' of counter-culture and Vietnam.

Deluded by the seventies save for school and travel in Europe.

Full of vigor,marriage and certainty in the eighties.

Brought to level by children and sense of place in the nineties.

Started looking through other eyes in this bizarre new century and started writing again; children 's books to gain a balance we lose, when our young are not allowed to imagine and think and appreciate what allows them breath.

A corner,quiet with a book is not alone.
