Alex Yates

Alexander Yates was born in Haiti, and grew up traveling the world with his diplomat parents. He has lived and worked in the Philippines, Rwanda, Afghanistan and Vietnam. He is an award-winning writer of adult and young adult novels, and his stories and reviews have appeared in The Guardian, Salon, American Fiction, and The Kenyon Review. He currently splits his time between Dar es Salaam, and Hanoi, where he is a partner in a marketing firm. Alexander speaks English, Spanish and Vietnamese.
