Jason Anderson

Dr Jason Anderson is a teacher educator, researcher (University of Warwick) and author of ten books for English language teachers: Teacher Expertise in the Global South, Activities for Cooperative Learning, Trinity CertTESOL Companion, Teaching English in Africa, Role Plays for Today, Speaking Games, Teamwork and three titles for British Council (available via his website - see below). He has won several awards for his writing and research, including three British Council ELTON awards. He has worked in education for over 25 years in over 30 countries worldwide for organisations including UNICEF, the British Council, and national Ministries of Education. His experience spans developing and developed country contexts across Europe, Africa and Asia. He has worked extensively both in pre-service teacher training and in-service teacher development in primary, secondary, tertiary and adult mainstream and private education.

He has published numerous articles and research papers in world-leading journals on education, language teaching and linguistics, including Educational Research Review, Teaching and Teacher Education, ELT Journal, TESOL Quarterly and many others. He regularly writes for practical teacher publications such as Modern English Teacher and speaks regularly at conferences and webinars for British Council, Oxford University Press and Cambridge University Press.
