Barnett Berry

Barnett Berry is the founder and CEO of the Center for Teaching Quality (CTQ), a national nonprofit that advances a high quality public education system driven by the bold ideas and expert practices of teachers. A former high school teacher, Barnett has served as a social scientist at the RAND Corporation, a senior executive with the South Carolina Department of Education, and professor at the University of South Carolina. At the core of Barnett’s work is a simple and powerful conviction: "Our public schools will not realize their promise without drawing on the expertise of the excellent teachers we have right now."
