Anthony D’Egidio is a native of the Hudson Valley in New York State and a graduate of Pace University. After three decades of a diverse career, working for a Fortune 50 company, he retired.
The aftermath of destruction in the 9/11 attacks made me reflect upon security within the United States. I believed that the United States was extremely venerable to another terrorist attack, which could be even more devastating than 9/11 had rendered. I became concerned after reading about the lack of security at our nuclear generating sites, and the corporate mentality that would sacrifice human lives for profits and stockholder dividends. This prompted me to write “The Third Cell” as an alert to our government. The complex nature of the novel required thousands of hours of research and took five years to write.
Mr. D’Egidio divides his time between residences in South Florida and San Andrés Island, Colombia, South America. These locations were became a critical part of the novel.
