Andrea S. Libresco

Andrea S. Libresco is Professor of Social Studies Education and Director of the Minor in Civic Education at Hofstra University. She teaches prospective and current teachers at the graduate and undergraduate levels how to teach social studies.

She was a high school social studies teacher and lead teacher for elementary social studies in the public schools from 1982-2001. She is past co-editor (with Jeannette Balantic) of the national journal, Social Studies and the Young Learner.
