Loreen Michele Sherman

Loreen Michele Sherman (1961-) is Board certified in Security Management with ASIS International. Attaining the globally-recognized board certification is considered the “gold standard” of excellence for certification of security management professionals. Earning the Certified Protection Professional (CPP®) demonstrated her knowledge and validated her competency in seven key domains of security management, July 2019.

Loreen is recognized by Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) as RIMS-Certified Risk Management Professional (RIMS-CRMP) representing more than 3,500 entities, as one of the first wave of professionals to earn the only accredited risk management designation after demonstrating all risk competencies by the successful completion of the five modules for the online course requirements in alignment with the RIMS-CRMP e-course 6th edition, American National Standards Institute (ANSI), (2017-11-14 to 2018-10-02). In addition to these requirements, she also completed four formalized risk courses at the University of Toronto (2017-2018).

Prior to that Loreen attained the Certified Management Consultant (CMC) designation enrolled in the executive stream earning the highest professional standard in management consulting recognized around the world as a global credential concerning professional qualifications in all 40+ countries that compromise the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI) as a CMC-Canada member, (April 23, 2015).

Loreen graduated from the University of Phoenix flexnet program Calgary, AB / online Phoenix, Arizona with a Master Business Administration (MBA) degree (September 30, 2009). Her undergraduate degree is from McMaster University, Hamilton ON from the school of Geography and Geology renamed Geography and Earth Sciences.

She has over 35 years in industry with a wide berth of experience in management, decision analytics and risk management accountable in governance, finance, legal compliance, operations, stakeholder relations, management and administration, research and development.

Founded three businesses. Owned and sold a commercial and residential security company where 200+ monitored clients were successfully managed in Hamilton, ON (1992-2007).

She currently operates as the Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in multiple functional areas of business across the enterprise (2009-2019). One of her accomplishments was submitting the On-Going Hazard Identification Report which was validated by ISNetworld for safety preparedness to establish STI as a vendor on the $40B LNG Canada project in partnership with Siemens Polarian (2018-2019). Confirmed registered in Canada Supplier Inventory Database and listed with Ledcor Construction Limited on the list of active service providers for the construction of the non-process buildings (2018-2019).

Other successes include the creation of a patent pending, PROCESS TO INTEGRATE QUANTIFIED QUALITATIVE DATA INTO ANALYTICS.

She launched her career by working in banking at the Bank of Montreal Brentwood in Calgary (1979-1981) and then the Main Branch of the Bank of Montreal in Medicine Hat, Alberta (1981-1983).
