Cindy loves working with people with dementia, and when her position as a Health Care Coordinator in a Dementia Dedicated Assisted Living facility ended, she decided to devote her career to helping families and caregivers of people with dementia. M.I.N.D. in Memory Care (Moving In Nurturing Directions In Memory Care) was formed in order to not only help family caregivers, but facility caregivers as well. It is through teaching people how to better care for these wonderful elders with dementia, that a better quality of life is achieved not only for the person with dementia, but also for the caregivers. "Love, Laughter, & Mayhem - Caregiver Survival Manual For Living With A Person With Dementia" was written from Cindy's experiences with people with dementia and their families, as well as with her own father. Cindy has gone on to also write "Love, Laughter, & Mayhem In Eldercare Facilities: The Master Key For Dementia Training" in order to further improve the lives of elders with dementia by teaching staff caregivers.
Cindy lives in central Pennsylvania and loves to travel to other places to speak at seminars and conferences. She also enjoys reading, cooking, and working with search and rescue dogs.
