Jan C. Fransoo

Jan C. Fransoo is a professor of Operations Management and Logistics in the School of Industrial Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands. Jan held various visiting appointments at US universities, including Clemson University, Stanford University, the University of California at Los Angeles, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He serves as Associate Editor of the prime academic journals Production and Operations Management and Operations Research and on the Editorial Board of several other academic journals. He has published over 100 academic papers and book chapters.

As part from his academic activities, Jan has conducted dozens of projects with leading innovative companies, such as Unilever, Procter & Gamble, Danone, Heineken, Dow Chemical, Trinseo, Bayer, and DHL. Jan is a frequent speaker at professional conferences, in Europe, North and Latin America and Asia, and also works with multiple non-governmental and intergovernmental organizations.

Jan holds an MSc in Industrial Engineering and a PhD in Operations Management & Logistics from Eindhoven University of Technology.

From January 1, 2018, Professor Fransoo will join Kuehne Logistics University in Hamburg, Germany, as the KLU's Dean of Research.
