Jr., Robert B. Shepherd

Robert B. Shepherd, Jr. (1985-) is an emerging voice in the legal scholarship community. Shepherd's focus lies particularly in interdisciplinary studies of law, particularly where legal analysis combines with concepts derived from business, politics, history, philosophy, and literature. His most recent work,

"Illegitimacy, Inefficiency, and Disrespect: A Call for Reforming the Causes of Action for Misuse of Legal Process" was published in December 2010.

Prior to writing Illegitimacy, Shephered graduated Summa cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst (UMASS) with a Bachelor's Degree in political science. While at the UMASS, Shepherd double majored in American history with a particular focus on the founding era. He also published his first work, titled "Nature: Literary Critiques of Political Philosophy" which is currently archived at UMASS' W.E.B. DuBois Library. He was also a member of UMASS' critically acclaimed Minuteman Marching Band. Shepherd also holds a certificate in international relations from Mount Holyoke College through the Five College Consortium.

After completion of his undergraduate studies, Shepherd attended attended the Quinnipiac University School of Law and Quinnipiac University's Lender School of Business where he was a JD-MBA dual degree student. At Quinnipiac, Shepherd served in two editorial positions in Quinnipiac's exclusive Probate Law Journal. His second work, "What Roosevelt Thought: A Roughrider's Guide to the USTEA" (23 Quinn. Prob. L.J. 311)was also published in this journal. Shepherd ultimately graduated Magna cum Laude from the School of Law and near the top of his MBA class. He is also a member of the Phi Beta Kappa, Beta Gamma Sigma (Business), Phi Delta Phi (Law), Phi Kappa Phi, Golden Key, Pi Sigma Alpha (Political Science), Phi Alpha Theta (History)honor societies.
