Mike was a middle and high school teacher and intervention counselor for thirty five years and worked with thousands of children and their parents. He is the founder of Peer Resources, a comprehensive peer support system including a Los Angeles County Teen Court, deemed the most participatory Teen Court in the nation. Mike produced a community Peer Theater in association with a local university. Mike wrote, produced and hosted numerous teen and adult peer helper conferences and training sessions. His peer support organizations partnered with many civic entities.
In the adult world, Mike also served as a teacher advocate as the president of a teachers' union.
Mike is the author Creed Book1, Sequestered; Arming Parents for Today’s High School, An A-Z Guide, both products of Mike’s experience as an educator and parent. More currently Mike is the author of "I'm Tired, Maybe You Are Too", and "My Mother and Dementia a Kindle only offering. Mike is also the author of Assent, a novel he encourages you to avoid.
