Grew up in Southern California, escaped to the Pacific Northwest in mid-life. Live with my wife, no children, near Seattle. I've ridden bicycles too many years, but still make a try at it. I have a B.A. in mathematics, served in the Navy during Vietnam, worked as a mainframe computer programmer, volunteer taught English, speak German fairly well, struggle with Spanish. I like novels that put me into the scenes, make me feel like I'm there. I do not ignore sex in my writing, but without the explicit steamy scenes. I like stories that are about something that is or could be an issue, rather than a dragged out fight for its own sake..
