Catherine Truel

Catherine is a jurist in customs law and the director of Alegrant, a multi-award winning network of customs experts.

Catherine is an academic researching customs law. She holds a Master of Laws with Distinction in international trade law and is a PhD candidate in customs law. She is a Guest Scholar of the Junseok Research Institute of International Logistics and Trade, INHA University, Korea, a member of the UN Group of Experts advising on Euro-Asia Transport Links and a member of the International Network of Customs Universities.

She started her career in industry with multinational corporations before joining a big four audit firm International Trade Practice assisting corporations with Customs and Trade compliance before creating her own firm.

Initially from Provence, Catherine moved to Scotland in 1990 and now lives between these two beautiful regions.
