Nuno Ferreira

Nuno is a Professor of Law at the University of Sussex. Previously, Nuno was a Senior Lecturer in Law at the University of Liverpool and a Lecturer in Law at the University of Manchester. He has also been a Visiting Professor at Wuhan University (China) and at the School of Law of the University of Lisbon (Portugal).

Nuno finished his undergraduate law studies at the University of Coimbra (Portugal) and University of Bologna (Italy) in 2000, and became a member of the Portuguese Bar in 2002. Between 2001 and 2003 he worked as a legal consultant at the Legal Affairs and Litigation Department of the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM). In 2003, he joined the Centre of European Law and Politics at the University of Bremen (ZERP) (Germany) as a research fellow. Between 2004 and 2008, he carried out his doctoral studies at the University of Bremen, and obtained the Dr. jur. title (summa cum laude) in 2009.
