I've spent most of my adult life working with children and young adults. While my own children were growing up, I co-owned and co-directed a program for three and four year old children -- TUMBLE-IN NURSERY in Chestertown, MD. I met so many wonderful children and parents during my tenure at TUMBLE-IN!

Later, after relocating with my husband, I worked with teen parents and their little ones through family support centers. It was a pleasure to work with young families--teaching both parenting and life skills.

My young adult novel, STAR IN THE MIDDLE, is important to me on so many levels. I wanted to present a realistic look at how difficult an unplanned pregnancy can be on young lives. I also wanted to help raise awareness of the importance of teen pregnancy prevention programs.

I have been married for forty-one years to my high school sweetheart! We have two children and six grandchildren that we adore. Our children have spouses that we would have picked for them -- had they asked!
