Fatefully born on the same day that "Rock Around The Clock" by Bill Haley & His Comets was released, JEFFREY MORGAN is the authorized biographer of Alice Cooper, having written Alice’s definitive biography “Alcohol And Razor Blades, Poison And Needles: The Glorious Wretched Excess Of Alice Cooper, All-American” which was published in the critically acclaimed best selling 1999 Warner Bros. box set "The Life And Crimes Of Alice Cooper."
Morgan is also the authorized biographer of Iggy Pop And The Stooges, having co-written their definitive biography “The Stooges, Yes” which was published in the best selling critically acclaimed 2009 Abrams hardcover coffee table book "The Stooges: The Authorized And Illustrated Story," which he also edited.
In 2011, Dark Horse Books published Morgan’s 320 page mystery graphic novel "The Brides Of Mister X" in a deluxe hardcover edition, which Rolling Stone called “one of the 50 best non-superhero graphic novels.”
In 2021, New Haven Books published "Rock Critic Confidential," an illustrated hardcover coffee table book collecting Morgan’s interviews, reviews, and articles from CREEM, edited and cover designed by the author, with an afterword written by Alice Cooper.
In 2022, New Haven Books published "Alice Cooper Confidential: Confessions! Secrets! Fan Mail!," a collection of Morgan’s previously unpublished interviews with Alice Cooper, edited and cover designed by the author, with an afterword by Dennis Dunaway.
In 2024, New Haven Books published "Iggy And The Stooges: The Authorized Biography," a new expanded edition of Morgan’s 2009 book with a new Introduction by Rock Hall inductee, Stooges guitarist James Williamson and a new Afterword by activist artist Shepard Fairey.
