Pat Stemper Vojta started writing when she was in fifth grade. It was inevitable that she would go to college and study Journalism.
After receiving her degree she went on to work as a newspaper reporter/photographer. Eventually her path led her to writing books for children.
Her first book is a picture book titled, "Mr. Groundhog Wants the Day Off." She has gone on to create a scary middle grade series called One Eye Open. The six books in the series are titled; "OUT!," "Don't Blink," "Youlok," "Wolflinake," "Majic Monsur Watur" and "AI Eyes."
The covers for the One Eye Open series were created by Illustrator/Graphic Designer, Clint Tillman Reid. Pat was searching for an illustrator and found Clint on a chance meeting. Clint's daughter was helping to critique one of Pat's books. When he came to pick her up, he scrolled through his phone that held photos of his artwork. It was exactly the artwork she was looking for and One Eye Open Series was created.
Pat lived in Illinois until moving to Colorado with her family.
