Lloyd Francis Behrendt

Lloyd was born at Guantanamo Bay NAS long before it became a dinner-table topic. His travels across the 20th century as an Air Force brat uniquely guided his life, his art, and his writing. Shooting rockets at Cape Canaveral, he has shot film for 350 of the over 600 launches he has covered, including all 50+ STS missions building the ISS. He is proud that he is a Florida Boy, shaped by its environment, even as he has helped record it's journey to the future. He is excited about the next chapter, commercial space! He also chronicled life in the marshes of Florida. He now lives and works in JimmieBuffettVille, in Palm Bay, with his rescue dog, a Florida cattle dog, a black-mouth cur, Opie. His work is an homage to John James Audubon, who was here in the Florida Jungle that was 1834. The studio is now in Palm Bay, on the Space Coast, under the rockets, in Florida.
