John Howland

Dr. John Howland has served as a family physician for almost thirty years caring for children and adults of all ages. He was not raised in the Church, but came to the faith as an adult, being baptized at age 38 along with his two sons. In 2003 he was received into the Catholic Church. His lives with his wife, Susan, a harpist, in central Massachusetts and has two grown sons. Dr. Howland serves as a regional director of the Catholic Medical Association.

As a teenager, Dr.Howland once told an English teacher, "When I grow up I'll never need to know how to write!" God had other plans. In addition to writing, Dr. Howland enjoys spending time with his family, studying the life and work of Baroque painter Peter Paul Rubens, and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.
