Doreen Slinkard

Dor Slinkard is an unstoppable storyteller through voice or written word. Her stories will enthrall, inspired by the love of horses and outback Australia, where she was once a jillaroo and where she met her husband, Wade. Together they returned to outer- Sydney and set up a successful horse-training business.

Dor - Doreen began writing children's stories, The Wicky Wacky Farm series while living on Windermere Farm with her husband, Wade, and their two children, Daniel and Lisa. The stories relate to family adventures living on the farm—all with subtle moral underpinnings.

The words of her secondary school English teacher remained a constant reminder that Dor should write novels. " Your stories are brilliant," Mrs. Atwell said, "but please hire a good editor, as your punctuation and spelling need help!"

Dor held a lifelong ambition to write novels, particularly about her other passion, horses and Australian History. Five books are published, and now retired from Horse Training, Dor promises to write at least one novel per year.
