Business and technology have their dark sides, conspiring to hide great risks inside seductive opportunities. Foretelling these risks gives rise to intriguing tales of mystery and suspense. These are stories that throw innocent characters into unfamiliar and dangerous circumstances. They are about the excitement of success and the fear of having it ripped away, about daring to dream and then fighting to survive.
I've found few things as gratifying as a good story well told. To the extent we allow it, we are swept into the plot. We share the thoughts, the hopes and fears as suspense builds and mystery unravels. We ask what we might do in similar situations, testing our own resourcefulness and character. To that extent, we are part of the story. To that same extent, the story is about us.
