I am a retired aviation ground engineer and building construction entrepreneur. I was born and educated in Athens, Greece, moved for ten years in Central Africa, back to Europe, and for the past 23 years, I settled with my wife and son in Campbelltown, New South Wales, Australia.
My earliest reading list of fiction was mainly populated by classical authors - Leo Tolstoy, Ernest Hemmingway, William Faulkner, Honore De Balzac, Victor Hugo, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Nikos Kazantzakis, and many others. The best lesson I learned from them was the importance of a character's development, as the creation of dynamic characters brings a plot to life and through them, the reader experiences the story.
For me, the most fascinating part of the characters development is that, in a strange way, I think of them as real persons who seem to evolve on their own, and despite that, I am writing the story, I feel like a silent and unseen witness in the unfolding plot.
