Treesong is an author, father, husband, talk radio host, and Real Life Superhero living in Southern Illinois, USA. He writes fiction, book reviews, and poetry, mostly related to the climate crisis.

What is a Real-Life Superhero? A Real-Life Superheroes, or RLSH, is someone who adopts a superhero persona as a tool to engage in acts of public service in real life. Some of the most common forms of RLSH work include homeless outreach, neighborhood watch, neighborhood clean-ups, and volunteering for local community groups. Treesong's RLSH work includes serving as a volunteer DJ on eco-themed talk show on WDBX 91.1 FM and serving as branch co-ordinator for Illinois Initiative, the local branch of an RLSH network with numerous branches in the US, UK, and Australia.

Treesong grew up in the Chicagoland area and moved to Carbondale, Illinois to study philosophy at Southern Illinois University. Through his academic studies and activism, he became involved in the environmental movement, eventually changing his name to Treesong to reflect his newfound Earth-centered spirituality. This spirituality serves as a driving force behind his ever-evolving Real-Life Superhero mission.
