Kate Pointon lives in Tamworth ,Staffordhire

Wife to Mike ,Mum to four and a proud Nanny to seven.

At school it was her vivid imagination that gave her a great interest in Art and Drama. Always had a great love for making up Stories and Poems to the amusement of others and in later years this was enjoyed by her children and in time her Grandchildren. It was after making up a story at bedtime for her grandchildren that kate wrote down and did some illustrations of 'the peapod family'.The first story based on her own father who was very clever at making things from wood , so with this in mind she based Grandad pea on him with a simular talent but Grandad Pea uses waste items from the garden.

This first story went into print in the summer of 2007 and was very well received the proto type Peapod soft toy went into production and on sale in 2008.Following this, interest and demand for more Peapod stories was met with the release of 4 more books .

To see an idea come to life and follow it through with the production of a toy and the joy the Peapod family has given to all ages, kate finds most rewarding.After spending years raising her family she says its never too late to follow an idea through!

Kate is now looking forward to seeing the other stories already written going into print soon ,once all the illustrations are completed.
