Roger White

Roger's research largely focuses on topics relating to cross-societal cultural distance, multidimensional deprivation/poverty, the immigrant-trade link, immigration policy and history, and economic globalization more generally. He has worked on additional topics related to international trade (e.g., determinants of exporting behavior, the distance puzzle, and welfare consequences for domestic labor). His primary objective is to contribute empirical studies that foster a greater understanding of economic phenomena (generally) and, specifically, of international economic interactions.

Roger is the author of numerous research articles and book chapters, and he is the author or editor of nine books. Currently, Roger is a Professor of Economics and the Douglas W. Ferguson Chair in International Economics at Whittier College.
