Beverly A. Trail

Beverly A. Trail, Ed.D, coordinates the Gifted Education Master's Degree Program at Regis University where she mentoring students, developing curriculum, and teaching both online and classroom courses. Dr. Trail is the National Association for Gifted Children's Special Population Network Past Chair. She is a twice-exceptional consultant, trainer, researcher, and frequent presenter at the National Association for Gifted Children and Council for Exceptional Children Conventions.

Dr. Trail earned a doctorate in Special Education from the University of Northern Colorado, a master's degree in Gifted Education from the University of Denver. and a bachelor's degree in Vocational Education from Colorado State University. She has a K-12 endorsement as a Gifted Education Specialist and holds a Special Education Directors License.

Her career in education spans 24 years with experience at the district level as gifted education coordinator, resource teacher, twice-exceptional consultant, and as a teacher/gifted program coordinator at the elementary and secondary level. The school based gifted program she coordinated was designated as a model program in gifted education by the Colorado Department of Education 2+2 Excellence in Education Project. She was contracted by Colorado Department of Education to develop an introductory resource handbook and training module for the Twice-Exceptional Project. For three years, she conducted twice-exceptional training's throughout the state. She is on the Board of Directors of the Colorado Association for Gifted and Talented. As a result of her extensive work in gifted education, she was inducted into the Colorado Academy of Educators for the Gifted, Talented, and Creative.
