Karen Carr

Karen Carr was born and raised in northwestern Iowa, was a partner in a family farm, and moved to Mason City, where she worked at Mercy Medical Center for 32 years. She is now retired and lives in Mason City. She enjoys spending time with her four grandchildren and going to book signings and other author events.

Karen's most recent work is The Safe Haven Series, a 5-book historical Christian fiction series. A Safe Haven for Beth was #1, followed by Thad Tucker: Wyoming Rancher. The third is Ben Tucker: American Soldier. The fourth is Ellie Tucker: White Barn Inn, and the final is Mystery at Arnett Almond Farms Carr has published four children's picture books; My Hot Air Balloon, Littlest Penguin, and The Many Hats of Jeremiah Porter. The newest children's picture book was co-authored with her youngest granddaughter, Piper. It is What's That Strange Noise. Also a cozy mystery, Mystery at Burr Oak Estate: A Dog Named Wang; Threads, An Anthology of Shorts Stories and Poems; two stories in anthologies: A Needle in a Haystack and The Christmas Stories.
