Moore's work has garnered critical acclaim as far reaching as the BBC and CBC to The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Chicago Tribune, People, Southern Living, Esquire, Men's Journal, TODAY, CBS, VH1, FOX, Hallmark, The Art of Manliness, and countless others.

As a cook, Moore specializes in updated Southern cuisine with Mediterranean and Middle Eastern influences. He's also a cast-iron and wild game enthusiast, with extensive experience working over live fire.

His first book, Have Her Over for Dinner, a gentleman’s guide to classic simple meals was named one of the ‘year’s best cookbooks’ by The New York Times. In his second book, A Southern Gentleman's Kitchen, Adventures in Cooking, Eating, and Living in the New South, Moore paid homage to the rich traditions of the South – showcasing his family recipes and taste for adventure.

Moore’s natural ability to tell stories, and bring new worlds to life began a new phase of travel and writing with the release of The South’s Best Butts, Pitmaster Secrets for Southern Barbecue Perfection - winner of the best cookbook by the National Barbecue and Grilling Association.

His follow up to low and slow barbecue was to focus on all the goodness of a hot fire. Serial Griller, launched during the pandemic quickly became the go-to resource for smoke and flame, featuring two James Beard Best Chefs, and garnering national acclaim.

In his newest release, Butcher on the Block, Moore takes aim back to his familial roots, while traveling the world to uncover stories, recipes, and secrets from the local butcher, and beyond.
