When my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, I thought I knew what it meant to love and care for someone with the disease. The truth was I didn't have a clue.

After Mom passed, I interviewed over 100 other sons, daughters, and grandchildren who had cared for a loved one with Alzheimer's. Their combined experience, advice, and wisdom came together in the pages of "I Love You, Who Are You?: Loving and Caring for a Parent with Alzheimer's." It is a road map to guide anyone caring for someone with Alzheimer's—from initial diagnosis to the end of the journey. It is the book I'd had during the years we cared for my mother.

I subsequently became a Certified Alzheimer's Educator and began travelling extensively to speak with and support other caregivers.

After my dog, Brooke, passed I began writing once again. I collected over 25 stories of dogs who had changed a person's life or the world around them and published my first Magical Dogs book: "Magical Dogs: Love and Lessons from our Canine Companions".

I have since written "Magical Dogs 2: Connecting the Dots, Connecting the Dogs" and am currently working on the next Magical Dogs book.

I am a lifelong resident of New Jersey.
