Ruowen Wang

Ruowen Wang is an accomplished author and publisher of a number of outstanding children's books. Four of her twelve books submitted to The Canadian Children's Book Centre have been chosen the "Best Books for Kids and Teens." Ruowen taught English as a Second Language for the Toronto District School Board for ten years. Ruowen's passionate interest in children's literature and language teaching led her to focus on writing culturally diverse children's stories and producing ESL materials.

Some of Ruowen Wang's children's books have been published by large publishers in China. Her first books—the Little Wen series—were published by 21st Century Publishing House in May, 2012, and reached No. 2 in pre-sales on Dang Dang, China's largest online bookselling website. Little Wen was subsequently selected among the "Top 100 Best Books of the Year" by China's national newspaper, China Reading Weekly 《中华读书报》. Then, parents of young children asked for Little Wen stories for their 2 to 5 year-old children. Therefore, Ruowen created Little Wen junior.

Ruowen lives in Toronto, Canada, with her two children and their cat named Cheeto.
