I am an author, attorney, mediator (with ADR Services Inc.), arbitrator (with the American Arbitration Association) and negotiation trainer and consultant (with She Negotiates Consulting and Training).
Twenty-four years after completing law school at U.C.Davis' King Hall School of Law, I went back to school at Pepperdine University's Straus Institute to earn an LL.M in Dispute Resolution.
I write the "She Negotiates" column for ForbesWoman and have also written for the Forbes Legal Blog "On the Docket."
I teach negotiation to all comers but focus on teaching women to negotiate their true market value with my business partner Lisa Gates.
I have chaired the Alternative Dispute Resolution Sections of the Federal Bar Association and the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles.
I am the founder, but no longer the Editor-in-Chief of the online r.kv.r.y. quarterly literary journal.
I live in Los Angeles with my husband, Stephen N. Goldberg, an attorney with the Los Angeles office of the Washington D.C.-based Dickstein, Shapiro. My step-son, Adam Goldberg, is an associate attorney with the law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in Hong Kong and my step-daughter, Julia Goldberg, is a manager with Deloitte Consulting in San Francisco.
