Bryan Foreman

Hello, I'm fiction author Bryan Foreman and I'm thrilled to share with you my newest book, "Discovering Mom," an amusing and heartwarming story about family, friendship, and the need to belong. Plus, it's now the winner of the Literary Titan Gold Book Award!

My inspiration for writing the book: Like my main protagonist, Daniel, I too was adopted at birth—though I’m part Italian instead of Native American—and I wanted to write about what it's like to grow up being different than your brothers and sisters and all your schoolmates, feeling like you don’t belong, constantly wondering who and where your real parents are. I lacked the wherewithal to search for my birth parents, but I thought it’d be interesting to have Daniel search for his—and ultimately find them. The entire project was like a wish-fulfillment fantasy in a way, and I hope people enjoy reading the book as much as I enjoyed writing it.

My personal bio: I was born and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, graduated with a bachelor's degree in professional writing from the University of Oklahoma, and I've written four novels. I'm currently at work on his fifth novel, this one focusing on politics and the rise of American fascism.
