Kameron Gray

Kameron Gray was born in Louisiana in 1952. He is an accomplished guitarist, a former U.S. Marine, and a black belt in Ku Kenpo Karate. He practiced law for nearly 30 years in Oklahoma and Louisiana before retiring. Kameron wrote "House of Blood and Fire" in 2007. The inspiration for the haunting tale came by accident. He and his daughter, Anna Katherine, were jogging on the Mississippi River levee, south of the LSU campus one cool fall afternoon, when they noticed the ruins of what had once been a stately plantation home. When she asked Kameron what he knew about the place, he could only relate what he had heard as a boy: A professor had killed his mistress in the house in 1960, and burned it down to destroy the evidence. She challenged him to dig deeper and learn as much as he could about the old place. What he discovered was a tale of mystery, intrigue, terror, and incredible heroism, beginning on a cold February night in 1859.
